NOTE: Emerson fans are designed to fit a standard eight-foot ceiling, putting the blades seven feet from the floor for the best clearance and air movement. If your ceilings are lower than eight feet, you should choose an Emerson Snugger model fan to attain the desired seven-foot blade clearance, or you should consider a close-to-the-ceiling downrod. (Model CFDR25--a 2½" downrod--may be purchased separately for hanging a fan close to the ceiling.) If your ceilings are higher than eight feet, you should choose a downrod that will get the fan to within 8-9 feet from the floor. That's important, as the higher a fan is hung over the floor, the less the circulated air will reach the floor area. Accessory downrods from one foot to six feet are available for purchase, for suspending fans from higher ceilings.
